Starting therapy is a significant step, and finding a therapist you connect with is an important part of the process. To help you make an informed decision, Sophia offers a complimentary 15-minute introductory phone call before booking an appointment.
This is an opportunity to briefly discuss what you are seeking support for, ask any questions you may have, and learn more about Sophia’s therapeutic approach. The goal is to help you determine whether working together feels like the right fit for your needs and goals.
-
The initial session is 80 minutes in duration. During this session, Sophia will take the time to understand your current situation and concerns, relevant history, and goals for therapy. This information is used to develop a shared and collaborative understanding of the factors that contribute to and maintain your current challenges. At the end of the session, Sophia will discuss with you a personalised treatment plan to help you work towards your goals.

Developing practical and emotional skills to navigate challenging situations more effectively.
Learning ways to shift longstanding patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Gaining clarity about your needs and identity, and taking steps toward building a life that is more aligned with your values.
